Mr. Chairman,
Your National Security Strategy (November 2025), published in the last few days, rightly makes some alarming observations about the future of Europe: demographic collapse, loss of identity, paralysing regulation, growing censorship, and the use of political coalitions against the will of the people. This picture is accurate - but partial.
You claim to want a A sovereign, prosperous, confident Europe, capable of facing its challenges alone. And yet, in the same breath, you are setting out American objectives that are not aimed at liberating us, but at strategic alignment, opening up our markets, standardising our defences and strengthening your industrial interests. This is not a project for a European renaissance. It is an imperial redeployment disguised as civilisational support.
So on behalf of Switzerland, which is still partially free, allow us to set the record straight.
Switzerland is not a colony
Your vision of a «Europe on its feet» presupposes that America stops pressing on the back of his neck.
Let's start with the essentials: monetary independence. Switzerland is one of the last countries in Europe to have kept its own currency. But what is a Swiss franc worth if more than 40 % of SNB reserves are invested in US assets ? Hundreds of billions of Swiss assets are thus exposed to the extraterritorial law (FATCA, Cloud Act) - with no political quid pro quo or diplomatic protection.
How can we talk about sovereignty if the Swiss National Bank, which is supposedly «independent», is not?, is hostage to Wall Street, Who really steers our monetary policy? Who really steers our monetary policy? Certainly not the Swiss people.
The gold you fought for, we must win back
In 1971, your country put an end to the gold convertibility of the dollar, imposing on the whole world a system of imperial paper money. Since then, even the Swiss franc, considered to be «the strongest in the world», lost 95 % of its real value against gold. That's where your real power lies: control the nations of the world through inflation and interdependence.
Switzerland once held 2,600 tonnes of gold. Only around 1,040 tonnes remain today. Why is this? It's because the IMF, the BIS and other institutions dominated by Washington have encouraged our elite to sell off our real guarantees. Now you say you want a strong Europe? Start by respecting our right to reconstitute national gold reserves, stored in Switzerland, safe from your jurisdiction.
Your tanks have become logos
The invasion is no longer military - it's cultural, cognitive and nutritional. Your films, your fast food, your algorithms are dictating the norm for a whole generation of Europeans. The result is : deculturalised, uprooted youth with no pride of their own. The multiculturalism that you claim to denounce in Europe has taken root through the most American of channels: Hollywood and Netflix, not Brussels.
You talk of an existential threat from Russia. But who really undermined the soul of Europe? Who made uprooting the norm? Who imposed energy, monetary, cultural and military dependence? America is not protecting us. it absorbs us.
Swiss neutrality does not belong to you
Switzerland has always been a Neutral state, armed, peacemaker. But since 2022, under American and NATO pressure, the Confederation resumption of sanctions, lines up its army and discusses a stronger partnership with the Atlantic Alliance. Is this your sovereign Europe? A Europe that is legally disarmed and militarily overexposed?
We do not want nor Russia, nor America, But peace. And neutrality is our most precious strategic tool. So stop making it an anomaly. It's your systematic alignment that has failed - not our age-old prudence.
Europe doesn't need a guardian
You rightly denounce the European Union as a technocratic machine that denies identities. But you propose another form of imperial integration: yours. Your think tanks, your biased bilateral treaties and your instruments of legal and financial control are just as hostile to freedom as Brussels' standards.
What Switzerland - and Europe more broadly - needs to rebuild is not a more refined geopolitical submission, but an true national sovereignty, rooted in its people, its currencies, its lands and its traditions.
Conclusion - If you love Europe, let it live
Mr Trump, you want to «promote European greatness»? Then start by respect the European nations that refuse to be subjugated.
⮕ Stop tying us to the debts of your fiat empire.
⮕ Stop occupying our central banks with your financial interests.
⮕ Stop imposing your laws with unlimited extraterritoriality.
⮕ Stop flooding our youth with your toxic cultural products.
⮕ Stop pretending to defend our freedom while exploiting us.
And let free peoples build their own future free from any imperial tutelage - whether star-spangled or Brussels-based.
